Abstract

The design of horse housing for improved animal health and veterinary access is described. Free stalls are used for feeding and for palpation. Floor surfaces of ground limestone, clay, 3/4 inch gravel and asphalt are used. Low cost palpation stalls are used for safe work with mares.
