The nuclear reaction O-18 (d, 2n) F-18 and the separation of F-18 from the irradiated samples have been studied. For this reaction liquid H2O samples were irradiated with deuterons beam in the stainless steel cells cooled with water. The formed positron emiting F-18 was separated from (H2O)-O-18 by chromatografic method, The yields of F-18 isotop formed in nuclear reaction depend on the concentration of O-18 in water. The radionuclidic.purity of F-18 determined by gamma spectrometry was 100 % The F-18 sample obtained in this study was used for positron tomography in the case of phantoms, the images obtained for both brain and lever were of high clarity.
