Abstract

Rev. of Journey across Canada series [Short reviews] Each book uses an identical layout and book design to present current information on the size and location of each province and territory and an overview of its geography and weather. A chapter gives an introduction to the native peoples of each area and two chapters outline how people currently make a living from the land and through industry. One chapter presents the major urban areas and another gives tourist information for anyone planning to visit. The last chapter shows the key signs and symbols associated with the province or territory including the flag, coat of arms and flower. All of this information is very briefly explained with many parts supported with text boxes inserted with "Find out more..." bits of additional information.
