Abstract

Deaths from acute zinc intoxication occurred among sheep that passed through a foot bath containing 20% zinc sulphate in order to obtain water. Experimentally it was shown that as little as 8 oz of a 20% zinc sulphate solution could kill within 4 hours of ingestion..
