Abstract
P. meridionalis and R. constricta overlap in dense, almost pure stands at Porlier Pass, Galiano Island, British Columbia [Canada]. Clones, 10 of each, established from single spores, reproduced true to type through 11 generations spread over a 6 yr period. Prasiola and Rosenvingiella probably are distinct genera. Earlier published data supporting an interconnection of the 2 forms, is examined and found worthy. Retention of the 2 genera is supported.
