Abstract
The introduction of metallic moieties coordinated to arenes resulted in polyethers or polyether/thioethers, which have excellent thermal properties. A no. of new cationic organoiron- and ferrocene-contg. linear and crosslinked polymers was achieved successfully via acid-catalyzed condensation polymn. According to SEM imaging, the synthesized polymers had nano- and micron-sized surface structures, which would make them excellent materials where small polymer size or increased surface area are crit. to achieve improved mech. properties or rapid chem. reactions, resp.
