Abstract

Highlights •The median group-level lamb mortality risk was 10.0%.•Feeding high quality forage to late-gestation ewes is beneficial to lamb survival.•Lamb management practices (e.g. visual identification) can reduce lamb mortality.•Gastrointestinal disease controls are required to improve lamb survival.•A good relationship with a veterinarian is important to improve lamb survival.
