Abstract
The efforts of Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King (1874-1950) to improve Canada's international image and stature by hosting the August 1943 Quadrant conference in Quebec on World War II military and political strategy were met by repeated snubs - intentional and unintentional - by Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt. The article includes the conference agenda.
