Martha Giraldo-O'Meara, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor of Psychology. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Universitat de València, in Spain, where she investigated the universality and dimensionality of intrusive-related appearance thoughts. Dr. Giraldo-O'Meara completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Laboratory at Concordia University, in Montreal. Her research interests focus on understanding cognitive mechanisms involved in the development and maintenance of OCD, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), and anxiety disorders in order to enhance current treatment options.
