Sarah is the Access Services Coordinator at the Robertson Library, UPEI. She is a current doctoral student in Biblical Studies and a lay preacher at North Tryon Presbyterian Church, PEI. Much of Sarah's time is devoted to writing the blog https://hebrewwordlessons.com/ which has 1.2 million website hits and an annual readership of over 220,000. Currently, Sarah is the interim-President of the Prince Edward Island Genealogical Society and with that interest in mind she moderates the book provenance website https://booklives.ca/
Sarah's academic studies focus on first and second temple Judaism and its effect on early Christianity. By studying the historical, cultural, and political time periods in which the Bible was produced, readers can reevaluate their interpretation of these texts from the perspective of the people in a time-sensitive context. Understanding Ancient Near East through contemporary historical documents and archaeology gives clarity to texts that have been deemed "weird" from a 21st century perspective.
